About multi-accounts in Klaviyo
Klaviyo works best as a 1:1 sync with your ecommerce store or website. If you have multiple stores or regional versions of a store, you'll need multiple Klaviyo accounts for each website.
With multi-accounts, you can log in once to access and switch between multiple Klaviyo accounts using the same email address and password.
This eliminates the need to log in and out with separate email addresses for each account.
- Ensure that you are in the correct account to avoid taking action or data being synced with the wrong store.
- When updating your ecommerce site, make sure you're only logged into its associated Klaviyo account. If you are logged into one Klaviyo account (e.g., a CA Klaviyo account) while making changes to a different ecommerce site (e.g., your US Shopify store), those updates may sync by default.
- If you have a paid plan, consider creating a portfolio for a high-level look at your multiple accounts. A portfolio allows you to compare billing details for each account within 1 view.
User permissions for multi-accounts
Klaviyo supports varying permissions for the same email address across separate accounts. For example, you could have Admin rights in 1 account, but be a Campaign Coordinator with restricted permissions in another.
Only account Owners and Admins are able to add new users to an account and remove them when needed. See Understanding user management and privileges for more information.
Create multiple accounts with the same email address
There are 2 ways to create another Klaviyo account, either:
- From within another account (recommended)
- Using the registration form on Klaviyo.com
Below, we walk through how to create an account from within another account, as filling out the registration form requires you to fill out more information and has more room for error.
- While logged in to Klaviyo, select your account name in the lower left corner.
- Either:
- Click Settings to go to the Personal tab, then scroll down to the Create a new account section.
- Select Search all accounts.
- Click Create account.
- Review the email address.
- Since the email must be the same for the accounts to be connected, Klaviyo auto-fills this email address and it cannot be changed.
- Input the following for the new account:
- Company name.
- Company website.
- Company phone number.
- Click Continue.
- Describe your business (e.g., what products or services you offer).
- Example: if you sell athletic equipment, you would select “Wellness and fitness services.”
- On the next step, select up to 3 options that best match your current business goals, then click Continue.
- Choose your business platform and click Continue, or select I don’t have a business platform.
- Select the number of contacts you currently have.
- Input your business address, then click Continue.
- Add in your sender name and email address, and click Continue.
- Pick which channel(s) you want to use (email, SMS, or both).
- Check your email for confirmation.
Navigating a multi-account
When you log in with an email and password that is attached to multiple accounts, you'll automatically be logged into the most recent account you accessed. If necessary, use the account dropdown to switch to the account you need.
To view all accounts associated with your login, click your organization name in the bottom left corner of Klaviyo. From here, you can easily switch between each account.
Each account icon is automatically assigned a color, but these colors are unique to each user. This means that 2 users with access to the same account may see different colors (e.g., user A sees the account in red, while user B sees it in blue).
To see a larger list of all accounts linked to this email address, select All accounts. From there, you can search for specific accounts or star your favorites to pin them at the top of the list.

How can I make multiple accounts with the same account name?
When you create multiple accounts with the same email address, you have to initially create the accounts with separate company/organization names. If you would like your accounts to have the same company name, you can change it later by navigating to your Settings, then clicking Organization and editing the Company/organization name field.
How can I combine existing accounts?
If you currently use separate email addresses or aliases (e.g., example+1@gmail.com) to log in to separate accounts, you will first need to make sure you're added as a new user with your primary address (e.g., example@gmail.com) to utilize this feature. Once added to a new account, you will receive an email with the subject line: Additional Klaviyo account access granted notifying you that you now have access to the new account.
How can I copy my flows, forms, segments, campaigns, and templates to my other accounts?
If you're connecting multiple accounts that represent different regions for the same store, you will likely want to clone them from one account to another in order to facilitate the setup process. You can clone flows, forms, segments, campaigns, and templates.
Why am I getting an error trying to create a second account?
If you receive the error: An account with this username already exists, make sure you're using the same email address and password to create your second (or third, etc.) account. You cannot create a separate account with the same email address but a different password.
Can I view data from multiple accounts at once?
Yes. By creating a portfolio from a paid account, you can link any account where you are the Owner or Admin. Then, you can view your billing details, compare different accounts' performance, and more.
Can I change the color associated with different accounts?
Klaviyo assigns the colors for each unique user in the account and they cannot be customized at this time.
