Learn how to create a campaign using the campaigns library which will set up a segment of profiles as your audience as well as message content based on your marketing goal. The library is available for both email and SMS campaigns.
Campaign goals include:
- Promote a product
- Launch a sale
- Engage your subscribers
- Share an exclusive offer
- Share a business update
Using templates from the library makes it easier and faster to create campaigns for your subscribers. This is a great starting point for choosing an audience and message content which you can further customize for your brand.
Before you begin
If you haven't already, learn the basics of creating a campaign:
Explore the campaigns library
To explore the campaigns library:
- Click on the Campaigns tab in Klaviyo.
- At the top, click Library.
- Use the Channel dropdown to filter between email and SMS campaigns.
- Use the search bar to find a specific kind of campaign or click Campaign goal to filter based on goals.
Campaign templates will appear based on metric data in your account. For example, templates related to Placed Order events will only appear if you have order data in your account.
- Once you find a campaign template you like, click on it to review the details.
On the left is a description of the campaign and related tags. Under Audience is the definition of the segment to which the campaign will be sent.
Segments created by the campaigns library will remain in your account so they can be used in future campaigns. If you create a campaign from the library that uses the same segment definition as a campaign you’ve created before, it will reuse the existing segment rather than creating a new one.
On the right is an estimate of the audience size and a preview of the email content used in the campaign. - Click Create & customize in the top right to continue to the campaign setup wizard.
